| Welcome to ChaoticGame.com! This walkthrough will help you get started out with the online Chaotic experience.
Please note - these instructions are for after you've registered for your ChaoticGame.com account.
Download the free online Apprentice Deck:
The last step of the ChaoticGame.com registration process is choosing your free online Apprentice Deck. Once you've chosen this deck, the cards should automatically appear in your Collection.
Make sure you choose your Virtual Apprentice Deck BEFORE exiting the registration process!
How to Enter Codes:
1. Log in to ChaoticGame.com.
2. Click on the "Enter The Code" button which is located in the top right corner of the site.
3. Enter your code in thespace highlighted in redlocated above the button labeled "Verify".
4. After entering a code, click on the button labeled "Verify". You can enter multiple codes during one session.
5. Your card(s) should appear in the area to the right of where you entered your code.
6. Below your card will be a button labeled "Upload Cards". Click on that. You have now added the card(s) to your account.
Build an Army:
The following instructions are for building a 3v3 Army.
1. Navigate to the "Army Sector".
2. Type in an Army name of your choosing and click "New". Army names must be unique, so if you receive an error, try a different name for your Army.
3. Make sure you filter your cards by the correct Set and card type that you want. To drag a card into a space, click the card you want. All cards you have for the specific card you have chosen will then appear. Left click on the card you want to add into your army, and, while holding the left mouse click down, drag it to the correct space.
4. Choose3 Creatures and addthem to your Army by dragging them from your Collection into the top empty slot in the middle of the Battlegrid. (This is the "Creature Node".)
5. Choose3 Battlegears and addthem to your Army by draggingthem from your Collection into theempty slotsunderneath your Creature cardsin the middle of the Battlegrid. (This is the "Battlegear Node".)
6. Click on the Attack icon (a sunburst circle symbol) located above the "Cost" and Count" sections next to your Army name. This will cause the Attack deck to slide out.
7. Drag and drop 20 Attack cards into theempty slots within the Attack deck. (You must have a "Count" of 20 Attack cards which "Cost" no more than 20 points.)
8. If you wish to build a Master Rules-enabled army, click on the Mugic icon locatedbeneath the Attack icon. This will cause theMugic deck to slide out.
9. Drag and drop3Mugic cards into theempty slots within the Mugic deck.
10. Click on the Location iconlocatedbeneath the Mugic icon. This will cause theLocation deck to slide out.
11. Drag and drop 10 Location cards into theempty slots within the Location deck.
12. Once you have added all these cards, your Army is created and automatically saved. The site saves your Army any time you make changes to it.
Download and install the Chaotic Pad:
1. After logging into ChaoticGame.com, click on thegreen 'Activate'button located at the top right of the screen,underneath the"Enter The Code" button.
2. Click on thegreen 'Install' button. This will bring up the Installer page.
3. To begin downloading the Pad, click on the green 'Download' button. Be sure to read the Minimum System Requirements too!
-- Check that you have DirectX 9.0c or higher installed.
-- Check that you have .NET 2.0 or higher installed.
4. Download Chaotic to your computer's desktop for easy access.
5. Once the Pad has finished downloading, open and runthe 'setup' program that was downloaded.
6. Proceed through the Install. Once you're done installing, you'll be good to go!
Notes about Chaotic Pad:
1. After installing the "Chaotic Pad", you MUST run the program from the "Chaotic" icon on the desktop (not "Chaotic Pad").
2. If you have no sound card or on-board motherboard audio capablilities on your computer, the game will crash and you will be unable to run the "Chaotic Pad".
Run the Chaotic Pad:
1. After installing the "Chaotic Pad", click on the "Chaotic" desktop icon that was placed on your desktop. The Chaotic Patcher will then start to run. The Patcher may take a small bit of time the first time you boot it up. This is because it's installing all of the updates that have occured since launch.
2. Once the Patcher has completed, click the green 'Launch' button. This will launch a username/password login screen.
2. Log in using your ChaoticGame.com account information.
At this point you are almost ready to play. You will need to have an Army built in order to challenge and battle an opponent. Challenging an opponent is how you create games.
Challenge Another Player:
There are two ways to challenge other players - through Auto Challenge or a Manual Challenge.
Auto Challenge
1. Once you've logged into the Chaotic Pad, there will be a list of armies to choose on the right side of the Pad. Click on the arrows to choose the army you want to battle with. Armies with 3v3 = Standard Rules armies. Armies with 3v3 Master = Master Rules armies.
2. If you want to play a Standard Rules game, with no Mugic, choose a 3v3 army, and then click the blue'Auto Challenge' button. You will then be automatically placed into a game within a very short period of time.
If you want to play a Master Rules game, choose a 3v3 Master army, and then click on the Master Rules checkbox. Once it's checked, click the blue 'Auto Challenge' button. You will be placed into a game shortly.
Manual Challenge
1. Check to make sure that you have an Army built.
2. Check to make sure that the Chaotic Pad is still running and that you are logged in to it. Make sure you are not in Auto Challenge mode.
3. Navigate to the "Challenge" Sector on ChaoticGame.com.
4. If you know a buddy you want to Challenge, click "Create Challenge". (You can also click on a username within the "Challenge" sector to challenge that player.) A box will drop down from the navigation pane, where you can fill out the details of the Challenge. Type the opponents nickname, select your Army, type a taunt (this is just a message to the other player like "fightme"), and then click "Challenge". (NOTE: The other player must be logged into their "Chaotic Pad" for the challenge to be created.)
5.The challenge should now appear in your Challenge list as an "OUT" (Outgoing) Challenge. At this point you must wait until the other player accepts the Challenge.
6. Once the other player accepts the challenge your "Chaotic Pad" will load your game instantly.
Accept a Manual Challenge:
1. Any "INC" (Incoming) Challenge in your Challenge list is a challenge that another player has sent you.
2. Any "INC" Challenge that has the Chaotic symbol highlighted is able to be accepted at that moment. (The red highlighted Chaotic symbol indicates that the other player is online and logged into their Chaotic Pad.)
3. To accept a Challenge click on the Challenge and a drop down box will appear out of the navigation pane.
4. Select your Army and click "Accept". You will then be prompted to switch to your "Chaotic Pad". As soon as you click "OK" your game will start on the "Chaotic Pad", so be sure to immediately go to your "Chaotic Pad".
Notes on Gameplay:
-The object of the game is to defeat your opponent's Creature by playing Attacks and Mugic cards until their Energy is reduced to 0.
-The first player to defeat their opponent's Creatures wins the game.
-This beta release currently contains all card types - Creatures, Battlegear, Attacks, Mugic, and Locations.
-This beta release currently contains 3v3 battles, with 6v6 and 1v1 to be added in the future.
Playing the Game:
Standard Rules
1. The server will randomly select one player to attack first. This player will become the first Active player.
2. The Active player will select one of their 3 attack cards by clicking on it and then clicking the "Play" button. The corresponding damage from the attack will be applied to the opposing Creature.
3. The next player will select one of their 3 attack cards and play it. The corresponding damage from the attack will be applied to the opposing Creature.
4. Players alternate playing Attacks (called Striking) until one Creature's Energy has been reduced to 0.
5. Once this happened, the player will be able to move

Master Rules

After the game is over, click "Continue". This will return you back to the starting screen on the "Chaotic Pad". At this point you are ready for another battle!
